Requirements
The most important requirement of this position is to understand the post award accounting business
environment. Specifically, we are looking for someone with at least 5 years of hands on experience in post-award grant accounting,
a working knowledge of ERP or other financial management systems; and experience interacting with principal investigators and other
accountants at a university or research institute. Experience with IT Works Department Manager™ software and MS Access™
is a plus.

IT Works delivers "niche" market software products/applications to departments at colleges and universities in
the United States and Canada. There have been over 175 installations performed since the late 1980s. All development,
support, marketing, and sales efforts are handled out of our office in Raleigh, NC. There are two primary products,
Department Manager™ and College Administrator™. Both products have the same functionality. College
Administrator™ is an enterprise version of Department Manager™.
The primary purposes of these two products are in the areas of grant management and enhanced financial reporting. From
a financial reporting perspective, these products are often referred to as "parallel systems", "shadow systems",
"middleware", or "data warehouses". They are not general ledger systems, but they are used with general ledger
systems such as PeopleSoft, SCT Banner, SAP, Oracle Financials, FRS, FAS, CUFS, and others.
Position Description
There are three aspects to this position:

Installation Management - Coordinate the installation and training schedules for
new clients. Involves help in mapping client data into our software and
data validation when interfacing our products to existing client systems.
- Client Training - Conduct web / teleconference based training sessions according to pre-defined client training
plan for new clients and answer questions and conduct supplemental training sessions for established clients.
- Consulting Services - Act as a remote project manager for clients during software implementation. Includes
developing client cost accounting and internal coding systems, performing data validation, configuring software
security systems, and running data import procedures.
