Entering Program Project Grants or Grant Sub-accounts

NIH describes a program project grant as one that is organized around a set of closely related projects bearing on a well-defined scientific problem. Normally, three to five projects are involved, with one scientist designated by the applicant institution as the principal investigator who bears responsibility for the scientific and fiscal management of the program project grant.
