IT Works was launched in 1987 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. To date, IT Works has installed over 345 financial and grant management solutions in over 155 major universities and research hospitals in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Since its inception, IT Works has continually expanded its solutions to address the different facets of grant and research management and has released products designed for administrators in colleges, universities, independent research institutes, and research hospitals. These products include: Department Manager (released in 1988), College Administrator (1998), Research Administrator (2004), and Effort Administrator (2009). Initially, these products were implemented using client server technologies installed on client computer hardware. In 2013, IT Works released a SAAS solution with pre and post award tracking functionality integrated with Effort Administrator.
Now located in Raleigh, North Carolina near the renowned Research Triangle Park, IT Works attracts a technical team with some of the best and brightest programmers and project managers in the country.
